Since 2019 Maurice van Es started collecting photography from 80s, 90s and early 2000s football magazines. This resulted in an archive of over 14.000 scans. With a focus on the pre-smartphone era, these images capture a time before the digitalization of photography. The photographs possess a candidness and spontaneity that is rarely seen today.
